A Thank You Card

My Aunty Mary died last week, she was tired, almost 92 and ready to go but still sad. She'd had dementia for a number of years (a cruel and tragic illness) and was in a nursing home close to mum and dads. Mum wanted a thank you card for the nurses and carers at the home but didn't want a mushy card.

Anyway this is what I came up with after using a bit of jiggery pokery in Paint Shop Pro to merge the two images.

Now it's well known in this house that if you want a button sewing on then ask Nan not Mum, I can't sew for toffee, however by poking a few holes through the card, tying myself and the cotton in several knots, some stitching reached the card. I bought myself a mini sewing machine which actually arrived yesterday so stitching may be improved in the future, mind you at the moment the machine is showing exactly why it was only a tenner!
